I know health critics advise using hot water to be sure all the germs are killed, but the only way water can kill germs is when it is boiling, and you cannot very well wash dishes in that hot of water. Plus, boiling water doesn’t even kill all the germs. And isn’t that what soap is designed to do? To kill germs? Well, still use soap, but wash your dishes in cool or luke warm water to save money on your hot water bill. You may not think it does much, but it adds up fast. Conserve your hot water use to showers and baths, and I promise you will like the results.
