Vegan Friendly Foundation

Foundation isn’t for everyone. Some ladies use just a touch here or there, while others incorporate it into their daily routine. Some women don’t wear foundation at all; it truly depends upon how you feel about makeup. Foundation can be power or liquid. There is also a matte form, but it is much rarer. Matte is like a cross between powder and liquid. Matte was created to give that wet, fine finished feel on your skin, but also make sure it doesn’t look oily – that’s where the powder comes in. In my makeup routine, I use both liquid foundation and powder foundation. By doing this, I can still effectively cover my face with a thin layer of foundation to help myself achieve a darker skin tone, while also giving myself a powdered look so my makeup looks natural and not caked on.

People who don’t use foundation often use the term caked on, meaning that it is layered on the face and it masks the wearer’s natural beauty. However, if you use all natural or vegan foundation, you won’t have this issue. All natural, organic, vegan foundation is light, easy, and does the job. It leaves your face feeling fresh, and looking like you didn’t put on any makeup at all. Vegan foundation is not tested on animals, and is 100% cruelty free in all aspects, meaning it does not include any animal byproducts either.
A favorite vegan friendly foundation brand of mine is Tarte. Tarte is a vegan and all natural makeup line that happens to offer some flawless foundation. I first found Tarte when my roommate in college used it. I noticed her skin looked permanently beautiful and I needed to find out what she was using. She was using a powder foundation from torte, and it gave her the original look without harming any animals. What could be better than that? When you’re in the store, it can be overwhelming to see tons of pink and purple packaging with big and flashy letters. However, sometimes it’s better to stay away from those brands and stick to something more natural for your skin. This will cause less irritation, fewer animals will be tortured, and you will look better. Going all natural doesn’t only affect yourself, but everyone around you, including animals in your environment. With all the options that we have today that are cruelty free, it makes me wonder why everyone isn’t a harm free Fashionista.
